Hadley Man Arrested on Multiple Felony Charges Following Rockwell Street Disturbance

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office alleges burglary, criminal mischief, and violation of order of protection; suspect remanded to county jail pending further court proceedings

At approximately 11:48 a.m., the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to Rockwell Street following reports of a disturbance. After conducting an investigation, deputies arrested Zachary A. Locke, 23, of Hadley, N.Y.

Locke faces multiple charges, including Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C felony; Criminal Contempt in the First Degree; two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, Class E felonies; and two counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, Class A misdemeanors.

Authorities allege Locke unlawfully entered and remained inside a residence with the intent to commit a crime. He is further accused of intentionally damaging property within the home, including a glass front door, bathroom door, ceiling fan, and cabinet, with damages reported to exceed $250. Investigators state that an order of protection was also violated during the incident.

Locke was arraigned before the Honorable Michael T. Woodcock in Corinth Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Hadley Town Court for further proceedings.

As with all criminal matters, the charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
