Hadley Woman Arrested for DWI After Crash on South Shore Road

A Hadley woman was arrested on December 11, 2024, after police responded to a one-car crash off the roadway near South Shore Road in Hadley, NY.

According to State Police of Wilton, officers arrived at the scene around 5:36 p.m. and identified the driver as April L. Allen, 50, of Hadley, NY. While Allen denied any injuries, further investigation led to her arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Blood Alcohol Content More Than Twice the Legal Limit

Allen was taken to SP Hadley for processing, where she recorded a 0.21% BAC—more than two and a half times the legal limit.

Following standard procedures, Allen was issued tickets returnable to Hadley Town Court on January 8, 2024, and was released pending further legal action.
