Hadley Woman Faces Charges in Connection to January 6th Capitol Riot

HADLEY, N.Y. – A Hadley resident has been charged in relation to the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Katelyn Bartow, 29, of Hadley, NY, was arrested and arraigned on four misdemeanor charges, including:

  • Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds

  • Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds

  • Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building

  • Parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building

Authorities have not yet provided specific details on Bartow’s actions inside the Capitol. The Albany Times-Union first reported her arrest.

She was taken into custody Tuesday morning and released under court-imposed conditions, including a restriction from entering Washington, D.C., unless for legal proceedings. Bartow is set to appear in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., via Zoom on November 3rd.

Her arrest follows others in the Capital Region connected to the events of January 6th. Brandon Fellows, a Niskayuna High School graduate from Schenectady, remains in custody awaiting trial on more severe charges that could result in years of imprisonment if convicted.
