Lake Luzerne Man Charged with Grand Larceny for Unauthorized Debit Card Use
A Lake Luzerne man is facing felony grand larceny charges after allegedly using someone else’s debit card to make over $1,500 in unauthorized purchases, according to New York State Police.
Michael D. Riley, 19, of Lake Luzerne, was arrested on Friday, December 9, 2022, following an investigation into a November 21st complaint.
Investigation & Arrest
State Police received a report on the evening of November 21, stating that a debit card had been used without the owner’s permission. Following a detailed investigation, police determined that Riley was responsible for the fraudulent transactions.
He was arrested and processed at the State Police station in Queensbury, where he was formally charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
Riley was then issued an appearance ticket and released, pending his court date in Lake Luzerne Town Court.
