Lake Luzerne Man Arrested in Undercover Internet Crimes Investigation

A Lake Luzerne man was arrested after allegedly attempting to meet an underage girl in Colonie, according to law enforcement officials.

Kevin Mulcahy, 31, was taken into custody following a joint investigation between New York State Police, Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

Investigation & Arrest

Authorities say Mulcahy traveled to the Town of Colonie believing he was meeting a minor, but instead was confronted by undercover officers conducting an online sting operation.

Mulcahy was arrested without incident and now faces multiple felony charges, including:

  • Attempted Rape in the 2nd Degree

  • Patronizing a Prostitute

Following his arrest, Mulcahy was remanded to Albany County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
