Porter Corners Man Arrested for DWI After Two-Car Crash in Lake Luzerne

A two-car crash on Call Street in Lake Luzerne, NY, led to the arrest of Nicholas Cioffi, 36, of Porter Corners, on January 18, 2025.

According to State Police of Queensbury, officers responded to the crash at approximately 7:05 p.m. During the investigation, Cioffi was found to be driving under the influence and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Cioffi Recorded a 0.19% BAC

Cioffi was taken to SP Queensbury for processing, where he recorded a 0.19% Blood Alcohol Content (BAC)more than twice the legal limit.

Following standard legal procedures, Cioffi was issued tickets returnable to Lake Luzerne Town Court on February 5, 2025, and was released pending further legal action.

Other Individuals Sustained Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle involved in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not released additional details regarding their conditions.
