Stony Creek Man Arrested for DWI After Vehicle Found Off-Road in Adirondacks
STONY CREEK, NY – A young driver from Stony Creek found himself in legal trouble last week after authorities discovered his vehicle off the road in the Adirondacks.
On Monday, November 7, New York State Troopers responded to a call about a vehicle that had left the road on Stony Creek Road, located in the Warren County town of Hadley. Upon arrival, they found Harrison E. Blanchard, 20, inside the vehicle, unharmed but under the influence of alcohol.
Charges & Arrest Details
Blanchard, who is under the legal drinking age in New York, was taken to the State Police barracks in Wilton, where he was tested for blood alcohol content (BAC). The results showed a staggering 0.24% BAC—three times the legal limit.
As a result, Blanchard was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), a serious offense in New York State. He also received multiple citations for vehicle and traffic law violations.
Legal Consequences
After processing, Blanchard was released into the custody of a sober party. His upcoming court date will determine the penalties he may face, which could include license suspension, fines, and mandatory alcohol education programs.
