Hadley Man Arrested for Vandalizing Cars in Lake Luzerne

LAKE LUZERNE, N.Y. – A Hadley man is facing serious charges after a string of vehicle vandalism in Lake Luzerne, NY. Authorities say Brandon Kathan, 21, was arrested after an investigation linked him to the smashing of three car windshields back in October.

According to State Police, officers responded to a complaint on October 30 from a Lake Luzerne resident who reported that multiple vehicles on their property had been damaged. After gathering evidence, investigators secured an arrest warrant from Lake Luzerne Town Court and tracked down Kathan in Hadley, NY, where he was taken into custody.

Charges Against Kathan:

• Third-degree Criminal Mischief (Felony)

• Fourth-degree Criminal Mischief (Misdemeanor)

Kathan was arraigned in Warren County Centralized Arraignment Court and released on his own recognizance. He is set to appear in Lake Luzerne Town Court on January 6, 2022.
